DNA Paris Design Awards 2025

RICHE is proud to have been named a Winner at the DNA Paris Design Awards 2025 for the Entrance and VIP Lounge of Panathinaikos BC at OAKA Stadium, in the Interior Design / Renovation category.

This international distinction celebrates RICHE’s core expertise: creating transformative lighting experiences that elevate the spatial narrative and strengthen the relationship between architecture, materials and atmosphere.

Lighting in Dialogue with Architecture

Developed in close dialogue with the architectural concept, the lighting design plays a defining role in the experience of the space.

Rather than functioning as a decorative layer, light becomes an architectural language. It defines movement, accentuates textures and reveals the spatial composition through carefully controlled contrasts between illumination and shadow.

Dark, earthy tones are complemented by warm golden light, creating an environment that feels both monumental and inviting. The restrained lighting approach enhances the material richness of the interior while establishing an atmosphere of refined luxury.

A Sculptural Focal Point

Special attention is given to the central marble sculpture, which emerges as a powerful focal point within the entrance.

Precisely positioned lighting reveals the texture, volume and detail of the marble, strengthening its monumental presence. The interaction between directional and indirect light allows the sculpture to become an integral part of the spatial experience rather than simply a decorative element.

Throughout the lounge, clean architectural lines and carefully selected materials are enhanced by light, creating depth, rhythm and visual continuity.

Shaping Experience Through Light

The lighting design balances drama with comfort and functionality. Carefully controlled intensity levels guide visitors through the entrance and lounge while preserving the immersive character of the environment.

Every lighting intervention contributes to the overall narrative—from the illuminated architectural surfaces and sculptural elements to the warmer layers of light that define the hospitality areas.

The result is a distinctive VIP environment where light shapes perception, reinforces identity and transforms the arrival experience.

Collaboration at the Centre of the Project

Working closely with the project’s architects, designers and stakeholders, and with RICHE founder Markos Vouzounerakis contributing as lead designer and interior-design consultant, the team delivered a cohesive result that respects the integrity of the architectural vision.

The project demonstrates how collaboration between lighting design, architecture and interior design can produce spaces with clarity, atmosphere and a strong emotional presence.

This distinction from the DNA Paris Design Awards 2025 reinforces RICHE’s ongoing mission: to collaborate with architects, interior designers and developers in creating environments where light is not simply a tool, but a language.
