What is Folio®

Folio® is a brand by Cifralluminio, that has developed a unique technology to create borderless products of perfectly diffused light.

How they do it? The product is made up of the external aluminum protective shell that favors rigidity and heat dissipation and the internal transparent methacrylate plate is laser processed following the Folio® custom engraving algorithm, which allows to obtain a guaranteed light homogeneity of 97%. Finally, they use Nichia’s LEDs, the world leading LEDs, which sustain a CRI of 90 as well as the same color temperature across the whole surface. And the best part? It’s only a few millimeters thick!

Its flexibility allows limitless applications, as the surface can be cut, bend, printed, integrate spots, etc.
Furthermore, Folio® can adapt and illuminate any photo-permeable surface, such as marble or textile. The light remains homogeneous in terms of temperature and luminosity throughout the surface; there are no shadows.

This technology allows the creation of surfaces, furniture, ceilings, kitchen tops, windows, banners, elevators, store fronts, mirrors, etc. Folio® Custom is the base for such unique applications, according to the architect’s inspiration and specs.
